Updates

We saw the Doctor again today. The baby looks good and is continuing to grow. It has been fun to compare sonogram pictures. It looks more like a baby and less like an alien/shrimp this week! It is crazy to think about all that has gone on in the last two weeks. I've had 5 ultrasounds, so the baby is being monitored nicely. :)

I still have a large blood clot that is in my uterine cavity. It is closer to the baby this week. It will continued to be monitored closely. Please pray that the blood clot would dissolve and go away on its own. We will see the Doctor again next Monday.

Until then, I have been released from complete bed rest!!! Yay! I still can't do much, but am grateful for the chance to get out of the house once and a while. The Dr. said to take it easy-what the heck does that mean? So of course I asked and we went down my list of things I would like to be able to do. The Dr. said no housework/cleaning, in addition to my list of other activities he turned down!

Our Baby Fights On!

We saw the doctor today and the baby is alive and well! Its' heartbeat was strong and it actually grew in size since last week. Alfonso and I are praising God for this and we appreciate all the prayers from friends and family. The doctor did say that we're not out of the woods yet, but alot closer. I will continue to be on house arrest/bed rest until next monday when we see the doctor again. Please continue to pray for the health of our baby and a quick recovery from surgery.

God is so GOOD!

(Alfonso writing) One of the reasons I fell in love with Aubrey was because of her strength, her toughness, and most of all her solid and steady faith in the Jesus Christ. Today was a great testimony to that and to God's goodness and mighty power. Aubrey had surgery today to remove a ectopic pregnancy (tubal pregnancy). The surgery was complexed by the great fact that she also has a healthy pregnancy. According to our doctor this type of surgery is rare and difficult to do. However he has had great success with this surgery in the past. The surgery lasted about 30 minutes. The ectopic pregnancy had ruptured, not sure when or where, but we PRAISE GOD that we did this surgery today. Even as I write this I don't think this has totally hit me yet. God protected Aubrey's life! We will not know about the baby until Monday morning when we go in to see the doctor. The doctor said again that the baby has a 50/50 chance to make it. We are hopeful and optimistic for our child and we rest in God's goodness. We thank all who have been praying for us and the love we are receiving is such a blessing.

Here are a few things to pray for:
1. Aubrey's health - her pain, nausea, and quick recovery
2. Baby Longoria - to be a Strong healthy baby as tough as his mommy. :)
3. Aubrey and I would grow closer to each other and God

As I woke up this morning I heard the spirit singing the words "God is so good...God is so good...God is so good...He's so good to me!" in my heart. I think of what the Lord told the nation of Israel in chapter 43:
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior"

Also Psalm 100 says:

"Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations."

Praise God with us for what he did today!

We're Pregnant!!!!/URGENT PRAYER NEEDED

We are now 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant. We are exited to be able to share this news with our close friends and family. As of now, we are not telling the general public as it is still pretty early on in the pregnancy. We are praising God for the life he has created and continue to trust Him for the health and growth of this baby.

The next part includes our eventful week at the ER and Doctor's office. This past saturday I started having intense pain and bleeding. After a few hours, I called the Doctor and he had us go to the emergency room. They were able to get the pain under control and took ultrasound pictures for my Doctor and sent them to him. We saw the baby on ultrasound for the first time and a nice heartbeat. :) They sent me home on bedrest. I saw my Dr. on Monday morning. He saw the baby again and a stronger heartbeat. :) He also saw an object near my right fallopian tube/right ovary that he could not identify 100%. He put me on bedrest until Thursday. I saw the Dr. today and we saw the baby again. Praise God it has grown and continues to have a strong heartbeat. The object was still there and was identified today as an ectopic pregnancy. My Dr. pulled in the other senior Dr. in the practice and he also confirmed that it was an ectopic pregnancy. We are praising God that the tube has not already ruptured. However, surgery is necessary. SO.......

I am having surgery tomorrow morning to remove the ectopic pregnancy. Historically, research shows there is a 50/50 chance the baby will survive. My Dr. has had experience with cases like mine and has had better success. That's why he is my Dr. :) Even though we have a great Dr., It's really all in the Lord's hands. So we will wait and trust the Lord for great things.

Here's a few things you can pray for:

1. Pray for a successful surgery. Pray for accuracy, speed and wisdom for Dr. Silverberg as he works.
2. Pray for the baby-Pray for protection during and after the surgery. Pray that it would continue to grow strong and healthy.
3. Pray that the side effects from surgery would be minimal. Pray for a quick recovery.
4. Pray for Alfonso and me-That we would draw close to each other and cling to God as we trust him as our Provider, Healer and Lord during this time.

We really appreciate all of your prayers and support. Alfonso will post an update tomorrow after the surgery.
